If you can't find a program, date or objective in our schedule that meets your needs, we'll devolop a custom program for you or your group. Customizing your program can often reduce the cost significantly as well.

Canada West Mountain School also specializes in working with groups and organizations to develop training programs.

5% discount if bookings are confirmed and pre-paid 4 weeks or more in advance; or, if there are 2 or more guides hired for any one date/group.

This rate is based on one Ski Guide per group and includes guide/instruction services, technical equipment, instructional materials, and trip organization.

This rate does not include GST, food, personal equipment and skis, transportation costs, special permits or hut/camping fees.

Ice Climbing - Guiding & Instruction
Guiding (maximum 2 climbers per Guide)
1:1 Guide/Climber ratio: $475/person per day
1:2 Guide/Climber ratio: $275/person per day

Instruction (maximum 4 climbers per guide)
1 person - $450/day
2 people - $250/person per day
3 people - $200/person per day
4 people - $175/person per day

Includes all technical Ice Climbing equipment except boots and crampons - rentals are available.

1:1 ratio
$350. + GST per person for a day of guided single pitch rock climbing in Squamish.

2:1 ratio
$215. + GST per person for a day of guided single pitch rock climbing in Squamish.

If you have a larger group and want to climb with a guide at a higher ratio than 1:2, please contact our office directly for rates and details. Larger groups will result in lower per-person costs.

Base rate: $450/day
Plus, add $75/day for every person added to the group after the first person (up to 4 people maximum). For groups over 4, please contact our office directly for special group rates.

Included in all rates:
All rates are based on one Guide per group and include guide/instruction services, instructional materials (if applicable), all required permits and trip organization.
Excluded:
Rates do not include GST (5% Goods and Services Tax), food, transportation costs, lift access fees, specialized technical safety equipment (unless noted otherwise), personal clothing, equipment, hut or camping fees, accomodation fees, and other associated costs for participants and guides/instructors where applicable.

All costs are for full-day programs - half-day programs can be arranged on request for some programs, please contact us directly for quotes based on the activity and the group size.

To arrange an exact quote, we will need to know the nature of the trip that you would like, the number of people, the length of the trip/course and the location. Please contact the CWMS office to discuss specific details so that we can arrange the best possible Custom Program to meet your needs!
