wilderness first responder Bridge (40 hours) A perfect course for graduates of the Advanced Wilderness First Aid course looking to get further training and certification! Students must have an unexpired 40hr Wilderness First Aid course to enroll in this program. This course is designed for students who may want to upgrade their AWFA training to a WFR certification. During this course we will review the basics and then cover topics in more detail to get you up to the 80 hour wilderness first aid standard. There will also be more time to practice scenarios. Only WMC graduates can take a Bridge course to upgrade to WFR.
Course Cost $445. + GST Currency Converter Prerequisites Students must have current (un-expired) Advanced Wilderness First Aid certification (40 hr course) Location This Wilderness First Aid BRIDGE Training Course is based in Squamish, BC. The Squamish courses are based at the Sandman Inn, 2-3 minutes north of downtown Squamish, BC. All days are held at our training room from 8 am to approx. 5 pm. Pactical outdoor training sessions will take place in local wilderness and outdoor areas near to the classroom. Instructors All of our Wilderness First Aid courses are taught by certified Wilderness 1st Aid Instructors. In addition to being excellent instructors, they are also active climbers, skiers and outdoor enthusiasts who know what it is like to be in a remote wilderness environment on a regular basis! Course Outline Equipment list: Wilderness First Aid BRIDGE course The equipment list for this course will be added soon Logistics Pre-course reading material will be assigned and sent to you in advance of the course and forms a critical component of the course. The classroom location and driving instructions will be given to you upon registration.The course will be split between classroom and field sessions, please come prepared for conducting field simulations outdoors in All weather conditions.
