Squamish Rock Courses
As the largest climbing school in BC with over 25 years in the business of teaching rock climbing, we have something to offer everyone - whether you are a first time climber or have many seasons under your belt. We not only give you an enjoyable outdoor rock climbing experience, but we make sure you learn as much as you can in the process.
Our Rock Climbing program is under the supervision of veteran ACMG Rock Climbing Guide Geoff Creighton. All courses are conducted outdoors on the excellent granite of Squamish, BC. Squamish is considered to be one of the top rock climbing destinations in Canada and is located about 1 hour north of Vancouver on the way to Whistler.
A unique aspect to Canada West Mountain School courses and to maximize your educational experience, our Rock I course includes manuals and a three-hour classroom session a few days before the field climbing sessions. This allows you to spend your time on the Rock in Squamish more effectively! In the field, you will be part of a small class with individual instruction, paced to your level. Harnesses and all technical and safety gear are provided.
